Part of the mission of Our Lady of Grace Montessori School is to help those who are less fortunate or in crisis situations.

 

The Outreach Committee of the IHM League works with our OLG community to participate in the following local, national, and international organizations and causes:

 

• Collect leftover Halloween candy and dental hygiene supplies for our troops via Operation Gratitude.

• Collect new pajamas and books for The Pajama Program who provides pajamas and books to needy children waiting to be adopted.

• At Christmas, the Elementary children make reindeer food and uses the proceeds to buy Christmas presents for children at St. John's Bread and Life in Brooklyn, NY.

• Collect canned and nonperishable foods for St. Mary's food kitchen and provided local families in need with Thanksgiving dinner.

• Our Pajama Party Dance-a-thon has raised funds for The Katie Oppo Research Fund to support research for ovarian cancer.

• The Elementary children sang for UNICEF USA's relief earthquake relief efforts in Nepal and raised over $2500.
